Dr. Sepehr “Sep” Mesdaghinia is the founder of NOVA Arthritis and Rheumatology Specialists who started this practice in 2017. Dr. Sep is a rheumatologist and a board certified internal medicine specialist who is licensed to practice medicine in Virginia. He is dedicated to providing compassionate care to his patients at both his Leesburg and Vienna offices in Northern Virginia, where he practices medicine and rheumatology.

Born in a small town in Kansas, he attended Penn State University for his internal medicine residency before he completed his rheumatology fellowship at Georgetown University. Furthermore, Dr. Sepehr Mesdaghinia has significant research background in rheumatologic and autoimmune diseases including clinical research at National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Dr. Mesdaghinia is a member of American College of Rheumatology, DC Rheumatism Society, American College of Physicians and American Medical Association. His interests are rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, gout and osteoporosis and his main passion is having a long term connection and a healing relationship with his patients.
